Welcome to 48 Hours in Denmark. During the spring of ’09 Seismonaut in Denmark ran a contest to find the forerunners in digital tourism. The mission was to create a Youtube video and convince the judges that the applicant was the cleverest tourist around, and that they use(d) technologies that we will all be using soon.
48 Hours in Denmark will be back in a new form - in the undying words of advertising: Watch this space.
The overall winner was Jesse Desjardin for his insight in to the travel business via many years of working in the biz.
Jesse’s project site is available at http://hellodk.com, where his videos and pictures are up.
The “buzz” award went to Christian Payne and Phil Campbell of “On The Ground” fame, who attracted an un-ignorable amount of traffic.
As the social media gurus they are On The Ground created a mashup-type site via Phil’s Rezpondr platform http://48hrs.rezpondr.com/
And the people’s choice award went to Sarah and Lennart from “48 Hours in NL” for their charming video, which shows the way in which technology has begun to permeate the physical world in new ways.
The Dutch contingent made a site not unlike their video, showing how to integrate “real world” features on the web http://www.48hoursindenmark.nl/
