Lennart and Sarah are Starting Up

Sarah and Lennart from the Netheralands are preparing for their visit to Denmark. They’ve launched a rather awesome looking website, of which great things are expected. I’m duly impressed and looking very much forward to seeing what they come up with.

Find their site at http://www.48hoursindenmark.nl.

I’ve been in contact with Phil and Christian and they’re plans will be revealed shortly as well.

Jesse Will Be Arriving This Friday

As you may have noticed by now the blog is back up. You reading it now - yay you! This means that we are nearing the first visit from one of our contest winners, Jesse. He will be arriving this Friday afternoon and will be spending the weekend here with us in Denmark.

Hopefully Jesse will give us lots of great insights and ideas into the whole digital tourism field - and hopefully Jesse will have a great time here as well. The general idea is that he goes digi-media-nuts and publishes whatever content he likes. We will link to the things here. You will be able to follow the trip virtually and we’ll post the good stuff afterwards. Thoughts, ideas and creativeness to follow.

Currently Jesse is researching he trip and we are mining data from his searches, like the busy little miners we are (I actually do have miners some way back in my family, in case anyone is interested?). When he gets here we will stand back and let him loose. Maybe eat dinner with him to say hello and discuss things. Mostly, however, he is free to roam as he pleases.

So check back this Friday evening when we will start the weekend with a bang.

Kelly Cree, Jessica Mullen

The third application, this one from the Popular Podcast (or Kelly Cree and Jessica Mullen).

Rachel Sterne

Yesterday we received the very first Youtube application here at 48 Hours in Denmark. The creator is a real forerunner in the field: Rachel Sterne of Groundreport fame. Groundreport is a user generated journalism site (am I sayin that right, Rachel?) to which more than 4000 people contribute, and they have more than 200.000 visits a month. She also has 1300 followers on Twitter.

Now that all sounds very impressive, but don’t let it scare you - your video is still more than welcome and your chances are not smaller, just because you have fewer followers on Twitter! ;-)
